
Ignite is Keller Williams Realty’s flagship training program, designed to help agents build productive, sustainable businesses in a highly competitive industry. I served as the instructional designer and project manager for key parts of the program, with a focus on technology integration and day to day execution.
The goal of Ignite was simple but ambitious. Help new and growing agents understand what to do each day, how to use systems effectively, and how to turn effort into consistent results. The program connected proven real estate models with practical habits and tools agents could actually use.
Real estate is demanding work. Agents are expected to prospect, manage relationships, use technology, and run a business, often all at once and without much structure early on.
Many training programs explain concepts but leave people unsure how to apply them. Agents needed clarity on what actions mattered most, how technology supported those actions, and how to build repeatable habits without feeling overwhelmed.
The challenge was to turn big ideas and systems into learning that felt clear, practical, and doable in the middle of a busy workday.
The training was designed around real behaviors and daily work, not just information. We focused on what agents needed to do consistently in order to grow their businesses and built learning around those actions.
Models from Gary Keller’s The Millionaire Real Estate Agent were translated into simple routines, planning structures, and scenarios. Technology was positioned as a support tool, not a replacement for relationships, helping agents stay organized and focused instead of distracted.
The emphasis was always on clarity, relevance, and application.
I led the instructional design and writing for technology and database focused modules within Ignite. This included lessons that showed agents how to use systems to support lead generation, follow up, and relationship management.
I also co developed the Daily 10 of 4 habit framework, which helped agents turn high level concepts into predictable daily actions. Planning tools such as the Before, Day Of, and After structure helped learners systematize follow up around events and activities.
All materials were designed to be easy to understand, easy to teach, and easy to apply.
Ignite was delivered through live classes supported by instructor guides, participant materials, and consistent messaging across locations.
After the program launched, I was recruited into the Keller Williams Technology Training team, where I helped expand Ignite through a weekly webinar series called Ignite Your Productivity with KW Technology. These sessions showed agents how to apply Ignite principles using tools like eEdge and KWConnect in real situations.
This ongoing support helped reinforce learning and connect training directly to daily work.
Ignite became one of the most influential real estate training programs worldwide.
Agents who completed the program saw significant gains in productivity and income. Graduates were more likely to close sales and build consistent habits early in their careers. The program was translated into multiple languages and continues to be delivered globally.
Ignite also supported Keller Williams’ recognition as a global training leader through measurable results that linked learning directly to business outcomes.
The work was done by a small, agile team operating under tight timelines. Collaboration with technology partners, field leaders, and top producing agents helped ensure the training reflected real world experience.
Workflows were intentionally streamlined so learning and systems required as few steps as possible. This approach helped Ignite function as both a training program and a technology adoption engine.
Ignite shows what happens when training is designed around real work instead of theory. By aligning structure, habits, and technology, the program helped agents feel less overwhelmed and more confident in how they spent their time.
When learning is clear and practical, people are better able to apply it, stick with it, and see results. Ignite turned complex systems into simple actions and helped thousands of agents build momentum in a very hard job.
